1940s Girls 2-Piece Jacket and Pleated Skirt Pinafore | Gorgeous Tailored Childrenswear

$55.00

  • Details
This piece of 1940s history is just beautiful. I imagine that this little outfit was made to match with Mommy! The jacket has a single red button and a cropped cut to show off the knife pleated skirt held up with connected suspenders that button at the waist. The jacket even has shoulder pads! The plaid pattern of the fabric is gorgeous, with red and green threads alternating along the black and white ones, that give it a colorful surprise on close inspection. The adorable red buttons and red detailing at the collar, shoulders, and cuffs of the jacket also help these colors pop. This garment is not tagged or marked with a size, as it was probably hand made. Please see the measurements below for sizing. It is in excellent vintage condition with one tiny flaw in the fabric on the back of the right shoulder (as seen in the photos). This does not affect the wearability at all and could be stitched if needed. This garment has been dry cleaned.
*I photographed this piece in natural sunlight and the color varies in some of the photos. The primary photo represents the true color of the garment.*
