Custom Made Black Silk Robe | Buddhist Meditation Robe | Handmade Silk Kimono

This is a gorgeous, custom made, black silk robe used for meditation. It is vintage, but difficult to date. It was very hard to get the true pitch black color of the fabric while photographing it, so please message me if you are interested in more photos. It has so many beautiful details, I tried to fit most of them in these five photographs. It has huge kimono shaped sleeves with royal blue embroidered edges at the sleeve opening and also at the 'armpit'. The same blue thread is used along with some white detail stitching on the front lapel. The robe has a long slit up the center back from the hem to about the middle of the back on the under layer. It is overlaid with a single pattern piece that makes up the back of the robe. Both pieces are the full length of the garment. There is an inside tie closure as well as a cloth button and loop under the right armpit made of the same black silk for an outside closure. This is a very special piece.
