1950s Art Deco Straw Handbag By Melbourne Vintage Striped Purse

This is an Art Deco inspired 1950s metal frame handbag. It is beautifully done in strips of woven straw sewn together to make this amazing striped pattern in brown earth tones. The trapezoid shape of the bag also makes it a stand out piece. The lining is brown faille with a single pocket and a Melbourne Bags tag. The metal frame is partially covered in leather and the handle is made of leather as well. The bag measures 10 1/2" wide at the bottom, 8" wide at the top, 10 1/4" tall (16" including the handle), and expands to about 3". It is in excellent vintage condition with just a scuff in the leather on the back frame and minimal wear on the handle. I love this handbag because it is so simple and unique.
