1950s Hand Beaded White Silk Satin Evening Handbag Vintage Purse Japan

This is an intricately beaded silk satin evening bag from the 50s. It is white on white and entirely beaded with seed beads. There is a leaf pattern on the frame and front of the purse made with tube beads. This handbag is in good vintage condition. The flaws include some stains on the fabric under the beading on the front and back of the bag, and some missing beads on the handle of the bag The inside is lined with the same silk satin and has a single pocket which was originally for a small mirror. The lining has a few stains in the bottom of the bag as well. There is a tag that has come unglued inside the pocket that reads 'Hand Beaded in Japan'. It measures 8" wide and 7" tall. It is an amazing example of hand beading and has a wonderful weight and feel to it because of the beautiful beading!
