The bold, geometric shapes and different shades of browns and creams make me love this perfect specimen from the 1940s! This is a great example of a ‘scrambled eggs’ tie also known as a ‘belly warmer’ because of the width of the tongue. It is rayon with a shiny floral and geometric jacquard weave. There is no label but it does have a tag that says: Selected Fabrics 5 Fold Resilient. It is in excellent vintage condition with a small water spot on the tongue that is hardly noticeable because of the color and pattern. (It may be able to be removed with proper cleaning.) You’ve got to add this one to your collection!
