1940s Navy Blue 100% Wool Sailor Jumper | Dress Uniform | WWII Era

  • Details
This is a beautiful, navy blue, wool sailor’s top in great vintage condition. The patches and details include: a petty officer 2nd class boilermaker rating badge on the left sleeve, a U.S.S. Conyngham patch on the right sleeve, an E patch on the right arm for excellency in gunnery, and embroidered stars and stripes on the back flap with the stripes repeated on the cuffs. The left cuff is missing one button and the left sleeve has four small holes at the elbow. There is a repair at the bottom of the V at the neck opening and a small smudge on the front of the jumper. None of these flaws affect the wearability of this piece. It has been cleaned and pressed. This jumper is an incredible collector’s piece of US fashion history that can still be worn fashionably or functionally.
